Commercial projects — joined-up design and safety support
Commercial projects can involve multiple designers, contractors, occupied premises, public interfaces, deliveries, temporary works and complex sequencing. Dominic Lyons & Co can provide proportionate support throughout the project, including Principal Designer / CDM advice, F10 notifications where applicable, Construction Phase Plans, RAMS, logistics and delivery planning, construction fire and emergency arrangements, competence reviews, permits, site inspections and H&S File / handover documentation.
This joined-up approach helps identify foreseeable risks early and keeps the design, pre-construction and site management arrangements aligned as the project develops.
Clear documentation backed by practical site experience
Proportionate support tailored to the project rather than generic paperwork.
RAMS
Project-specific risk assessments and method statements setting out hazards, controls, safe sequences, plant, competence, PPE and emergency arrangements.

Helping dutyholders understand what is required — and why.

F10 — when is a project notifiable?
Under CDM 2015, a construction project is notifiable to the HSE where it is scheduled to last longer than 30 working days and have more than 20 workers working simultaneously at any point, or where it is scheduled to exceed 500 person-days.
The notification provides key project and dutyholder information to the HSE. Notification is only one CDM requirement; it does not replace the wider duties applying to clients, designers and contractors.
Why is a Construction Phase Plan needed?
A suitable Construction Phase Plan (CPP) is required for every construction project. It should be prepared before the construction phase begins and set out the arrangements for managing health, safety and significant project risks.
The plan should be proportionate to the size and complexity of the job and remain relevant as the project develops.
